Aileen and I went just east of here along I-70 and took the first exit which is Colorado Hwy 65 and leads to Collbran and is a major access to Grand Mesa. My plan was to drive back and forth and try to spot some sheep. We hadn't gone far when we came upon this group that had several rams. I was able to park out of the traffic and shoot through the side window. They are so used to lots of traffic that they mostly ignored me. Since we got our fill all at once, we carried on and took the DeBeque Cutoff Road. There were some neat rock formations which will likely be the subject of my next post. We took I-70 home from DeBeque.
