CLUXEWE UPDATE.

We’re still enjoying the ocean views here at Cluxewe and have seen a few cruise ships drifting by.  Most take the outside route so too distant for good photos but a few have come through the inside.

BIL John F and I have made some more geocaching trips down Island.  The most recent a couple days ago was a 14 ½ hour journey.  We were two hours by highway then ended up about an hour back in some logging roads.  Two of the caches we found hadn’t been found in four years and a day.  We never saw another person the whole time we were away from the highway.

Disney Wonder, we got a good view then the fog descended  just as it got even with us.

Within minutes the ship disappeared in the fog.

Does this look like a class A motorhome on the water, well it is actually the Viking Orion.

ENJOYING OUR STAY AT CLUXEWE!

Time is flying by but I guess that’s how it is when you’re having fun.   We’ve had quite a bit of sun here at Cluxewe along with the usual foggy spells.  Every morning has been 11C and it has made it as high as 18C but there is usually a breeze to temper that.

Aileen is enjoying her ocean fix.  I have been geocaching with BIL John several times including two long days where we drove for over two hours each way to spend the day searching through the forest and slash for caches.

Aileen and I visited my cousin Chris and her husband Gord in Port Hardy yesterday.   It was so nice to see them again after about four years.   We hope to see a couple more cousins before we leave.

RETURN TO CLUXEWE.

It has been four years since we were last up to the north Island.   We are here for about 2 ½ weeks.  We had a nice sunset the first night.  BIL John and I have gone a couple hours south twice geocaching out in the old logging roads and have enjoyed meeting hardly any other people out there.  Aileen got to see a couple of cruise ships go by on their way back to Vancouver from Alaska.
