BIG BIRDS AND TINY BIRDS.

The little Rufous Hummingbird greets me both morning and evening and the vultures seem to be nesting in this area this year.  The bitterroot comes out only when the sun is bright.  They tend to close up if it gets cloudy and they go to bed early in the evening.

I managed to capture this sequence of a vulture landing in a tree that was already occupied.

The white flowers are Spring Beauties and the blue are Trumpet Lungwort also called Small Bluebells.

IMAGES FROM OUR WALKS AND SOME FROM A ROAD TRIP.

I had a bit of a setback on my calf muscle tear recovery after my last visit to the physio.  He gave me some new exercises and one of them didn't hurt at the time but really aggravated the whole area and even bothered my right calf.  I haven't done that exercise again!

We went for a road trip Friday down to Osoyoos then through some back roads over to Rock Creek and back home via the Mt. Baldy roads back to Oliver.  Some of those photos are included to day and others will appear in a future post.

This friendly Rufous Hummingbird greets us each evening on our walk.

I took this image of a Turkey Vulture from our deck one evening.

There were three of these buck goats in a field at Bridesville on our drive.

SOME OF MY BIRD FRIENDS.

Here are a few bird photos from the past couple of days.  I went to see the physio again this morning.  He gave me some new exercises and took away a couple.   If things keep improving I won't need to see him again.  I don't have any pain in the calf anymore but I do have some lingering swelling in my foot and ankle that needs to be addressed.  I am again walking to the dam from home.   We were taking the car part way to keep the distance down.

I know, it isn't a flower.  This was on our drive the other day.  The old building is at the junction of Green Mtn Road and the road up to Apex Mtn. ski area.
