MINI RV RALLY.

With just four couples attending this year, we had a quiet time socializing and playing games.   We went for a drive with friends along one day and another day we had to zip down to Qualicum to retrieve some mail that arrived the day after we left home.  Since it needed attention sooner rather than later, our neighbours kindly forwarded it to Janet and John’s.

We enjoyed our week with friends Keith and Sue and Rick and Barb and made friends with a new couple too.  Interestingly, Tom was born the same day as me – same day, same month, same year.  Clare was his other half.

I mostly took the week off photographically so not too many photos to share.   After the rally we moved a short distance to Tony and Rita’s in Campbell River and parked in their driveway moochdocking for a couple nights.  We walked a couple trails in the evenings geocaching as we went.  The first night we got caught out in a thunderstorm.  We sheltered under a tree for the worst of the rain but still got pretty damp.  We did find five caches that evening.  Only three caches found the next night.

From there we have moved up to Cluxewe Campground just beyond Port McNeill on the north end of Vancouver Island.   Our plan is to stay here until July 5 when we will move down to Errington.

We found some gluten free ice cream for Aileen and even the cone was gluten free.

We visited our friend Gay who lives in Berwick, a retirement residence right across from the Campbell River waterfront.  This is a log boom being towed past.
