BACK HOME IN OLIVER.

We got home just before 11:30 this morning after nearly eight weeks away.  We bought our ferry ticket yesterday morning at 9:28 and were on the 10 am sailing.  So much for all the media hype about long waits.  We generally stop at the Cole Road Rest Stop but it has been completely taken over by the homeless.  We managed to find a pullout large enough for us on the road nearby.  The travelling public is being inconvenienced with stuff like this.  This is pretty much the first available stop after leaving the ferry and it isn't easy finding alternate locations with the motorhome or larger trailers.  It would be nice if the government would provide safe parking elsewhere for these people.  Enough ranting!
The washer and dryer are getting a good workout today.  Lots of work moving back into the house after a long trip.  It was so much easier when we were living full time in the motorhome!
Our flower bed flourished under the excellent care of our neighbour.  The half wine barrels however were very disappointing in that they hardly grew at all.  They had the same soil as the flower bed and similar water so it must be that they overheat or something.
Across the road from Richard's where we were parked.

Must be good since it is covered, let's try some.

Watching the sailboat from Cattle Point.

Straightened out and moving again.

The gull was eyeballing us.
