A FEW PHOTOS FROM NEAR OUR OVERNIGHT STOP AT BELLIS LAKE CAMPGROUND AT BELLIS, ALBERTA

After leaving Fort McMurray, we wandered our way down to Bellis, AB where we found a nice quiet little campground for the night.  We went for a drive after our evening walk to get these photos.  We were invaded by mosquitoes in the night and we found one of the screens had come loose allowing them access.

Yesterday we went to Drumheller and had an awesome visit with our friends Bud and Jackie who we met years ago in Caliente, where we owned our lots in Florence, AZ.  After supper they took us for a drive to see the sights around their area.  We hadn't seen them since we left Caliente in March 2020 when we headed home early because of Covid.

I had taken my cameras for a drive yesterday morning so between then and last night, I have many photos to edit, some of which will make it online for you to see.  That may not happen for a few days as we are continuing our travels toward home tomorrow so no idea if we will have internet to make posts.

There was quite a bit of forested land in this area and every so often there would be a break from the mostly flat land.

Driving back on the main highway, I got a glimpse of white so I pulled to the side and after removing my boots, crawled through the sunroof with my 100-400 lens and got these shots.  Standing up through the roof gave me just enough extra height to capture the resting Pelicans.

The one on the left went through various gyrations with his beak which was interesting to watch.

Not finished with the beak yet
