The colours have sure changed in the five weeks we were away. I had expected to see lots of Bald Eagles on Vancouver Island but in fact saw just one and that was while I was driving through Parksville. I was pleasantly surprised to see one on the river trail but he was pretty spooky and wouldn't stick around long.
