Hundreds of attempts for every successful passage up the spillway into Vaseux Lake. An unbelievable amount of fish hit the cement abutment on the right side and made a large splat. Sometimes you expect to see them belly side up after hitting so hard but so far haven't seen any casualties. I read that 670,000 sockeye entered the Columbia River with the majority destined for this area of southern BC. One can hope they successfully spawn to further increase the population.
This one was successful
There he goes, made it!
