OFF TO VICTORIA AGAIN

 We've enjoyed our stay in Campbell River visiting with Tony and doing some geocaching.  Aileen had a great visit with her sister Anne on Wednesday while her John and I did a bit of geocaching.   We met at a logging road, took our car and spent the day putting around the bush.   Today I have a few images from the Campbell River area to share.

This morning we are heading down to Victoria to help our son celebrate his birthday tomorrow.  We haven't been together on his birthday for years.

PARADISE MEADOWS AND BATTLESHIP LAKE

 Last Sunday we drove up to Mt. Washington then walked the trails around Paradise Meadows and up to Battleship Lake.   Sunday isn't the best day for us to go somewhere like that but we did it anyway.  The trails were very busy and people were very loud at times which detracts from the nature experience.  We did have excellent weather and it was a no jacket day even up in the alpine.

LONG BEACH AND CHESTERMAN BEACH

 On our second day we spent the morning at Long Beach then the afternoon further up the coast at Chesterman Beach.  While the waves weren't spectacular, it was fun watching the surfers do their thing.
