I went for a walk up the river in the sunshine but before long McIntyre Bluff blocked the sun so I was in shade for most of the time.
This is a Sharp-shinned Hawk that has been feasting on local birds. He was across the river from me so this is cropped from the original as it was quite far away.
This is a closeup of the next photo. The colours are the prism effect caused by the angle of the sun relative to the angle of my camera.
This little sparrow has a sumac seed in his mouth
Can you see the tiny American Dipper in this shot?
The American Dipper has a Crayfish for lunch. He was shaking it vigorously.
