I SAW MY FIRST BEAR OF THE SEASON THIS AFTERNOON.

Say's Phoebe yesterday.

This family of marmots is living under the paved road.  They had undermined the road causing a small collapse which is why that Black patch is visible.

I found the meadowlark in the same distant tree yesterday and he let me get a little closer before departing.

Female Common Merganser in the Okanagan River.

On my walk up the river trail I stopped to peruse the rocks across the river looking for wildlife and today I was rewarded with this bear.

She didn't seem too happy with my presence so after a few photos I left her and carried on home.

  1. When the Bears come out of hibernation, it is definitely Spring.
