INCHING CLOSER TO SPRING.

We get some nice weather then it cools off again.  Yesterday and the day before were very windy.  It was fairly calm this morning so we decided to get out a bit.  We did a short walk on Allendale Road where I got the marmot and bluebirds then found the kestrels and eagle while driving above Vaseux Lake.  I plan to attend the photo club meeting tonight in Osoyoos.

Western Bluebirds.

Not much ice left on Vaseux Lake.

A pair of Kestrels. They were so far away I couldn't tell if they were birds or stubs on the branch.  This is taken with my 800 mm lens then heavily cropped from that.

And away he goes.

A Golden Eagle.  Massive birds, that rabbit bush is probably three feet tall.
