Last Friday we went to Victoria to visit Aileen's school friend Bev D.  I drove us out to Dallas Point and while the ladies had a good visit in the car, I wandered around the waterfront.  I was lucky to come across a few interesting locals.

The Great Blue Heron successfully scored some lunch.

He flew over to a rock to get the sea worm or whatever down the hatch.

After that juicy morsel he had to have a good shake.

Jellyfish on the rocks.

A pair of Harlequin Ducks.  He isn't as colourful as he could be as he's in eclipse plumage.

Some type of gull, probably Herring.

Black Oystercatchers.

An otter eating some kind of seaweed.

Three otters.

And then there were four.

And then there were four.
