We have been geocaching again the past couple of days working several series of caches in this area. Last night on our walk we watched a storm materialize across the valley towards Phoenix from here. When we got back to the motorhome, we sat outside and watched the lightning for a while. Most of the lightning was sheet or horizontal but there were a few bolts coming straight down. The storm never made it to us and we had a clear night with the temperature down to 6C this morning
Just before we walked the night before last and yes we did get rain later.
I think this is called a Mendonoma and it was at 90 degrees to the east from the previous photo.
In a little dip with a bit of moisture while on our walk the night before last we saw these Purple owl's-clover.

There were four geocaches spread out aways from the road that I walked to. This volcanic hillside had a nice display of poppies and lupines.
On our walk last night, my first shot of the storm hanging over the northern edge of greater Phoenix.

Never heard of a Mendonoma, but it certainly beautiful to see. As usual, all your photos are wonderful.
