BACK TO OUR PARKING SPOT AT ABOUT 21.5 MILES ON THE TONOPAH-WICKENBURG ROAD.

This is the same spot we were in a few weeks ago.  We enjoyed it but had to move on for other issues then.  This spot is also handy to access quite a few geocaches.  Aileen and I went caching this morning for a while and I did a few more this afternoon.    We're keeping track of the storm activity to the north of us since the weather will have a direct bearing on our travel to Grand Junction.  You don't get too far north from here before the elevation gains rapidly up to over 7,000 feet.  The weather can get nasty in a hurry which we don't wish to experience.

I shot this out the motorhome door this morning.

After lunch close to the motorhome.

Long distance shot of a roadrunner.  He wouldn't let me get any closer.

Sand Verbena.

Poppies.

Lupine.

Lupines.

Lupines and poppy.

Purple owl's-clover.

Another bountiful harvest from our friend Maggie's garden in Glendale, AZ.

  1. We are moving that way on the 12th. Can’t wait for the peace and quietness. If you get a chance, head to Aguila to the Coyote Den…..awesome food!
