WINDING UP ANOTHER VANCOUVER ISLAND VISIT.

We had a great time on the north Island but it is about time to head back to home base.  After leaving Alder Bay last Wednesday, we spent four nights moochdocking in Tony and Rita’s driveway and enjoyed our visit with them.  One day we drove to Cumberland and visited my cousin Rozanne and Jorma.   We had a great visit then went to Love’s ice cream where Aileen was able to get an ice cream cone.  Both the coconut based frozen confection and the waffle cone were gluten free so she had no reaction which was a very good thing.

John and Anne drove down on Friday and we had another intensive geocaching day collecting 64 caches.  Richard and Georgia drove up from Victoria on Saturday and spent the night.  Tony and Rita provided a nice barbeque supper for all of us just like we used to do at his Dad’s place.  A very busy time.  Aileen had to cut her morning walks short two days because of bears that were too friendly.

We moved down to Charlie and Sheila’s on Sunday and Richard and Georgia stayed with us another night.  Richard drove Aileen and me to our eye appointments in Nanaimo on Monday then they went home.  We’re trying to fit in a bit more visiting while we’re here but time seems to be at a premium.

I have quite a few photos from the north Island I’d like to share but they will have to wait as I’m going to load some from our Sunday walk along the Campbell River estuary trail system.
