We transitioned from summer to fall very quickly this year. We welcomed some much needed rain which knocked down the wildfire smoke and cooled things off.

Spotted Lake near Osoyoos is a saline endorheic lake. It contains dense deposits of magnesium sulfate, calcium and sodium sulphates plus high concentrations of eight other minerals as well as lower amounts of silver and titanium.
We saw these Sandhill Cranes overhead on our walk a couple evenings ago.
