RAINY DAY WALK UP THE RIVER TRAIL

I bundled up and took my camera for a walk up the trail alongside the Okanagan River close to home.  It was raining but I thought I would be able to get some different photos with the different weather.  The birds seemed less flighty and the light was softer.

Mallards resting

These Mallards are scooping up fish eggs from where the salmon are spawning

Most of the Ospreys have left for warmer climes but this straggler was being buffeted by the wind and rain.  Perhaps he is a late migrant from further north.

These American Dippers are fun to watch as they nearly continuously bob up and down

Do you think he's tell me to go away?
