BACK ON OUR SIDE OF THE BORDER AGAIN

After nearly six months down south, I was experiencing waterfall withdrawal.  I scratched that itch the past three day here in Penticton.  We had an easy border crossing on Thursday and have been visiting our friends here in Penticton.  We went to The Cellar which is a wine bar/ restaurant for supper last night and Aileen was thrilled with the amount of gluten free options they offered.  Everyone really enjoyed their meal.
We are heading up to Salmon Arm in the morning with our usual long list of things requiring attention.  Our trip from Tucson to here was 2,734 kms (1,709 miles) and we spent seven days on the road.  We try not to put in long days when travelling if we can help it.

The first three shots are of Penticton Creek taken yesterday

These four shots are of Naramata Creek taken this afternoon

Still some ice hanging around the falls

This Mallard drake was on Penticton Creek

I had spotted this owl and his nesting mate the night before while walking so I went back looking for him yesterday.  All I could see of the nesting mate was an ear so well hidden.

With the really late Spring here, this is the only thing blooming - Sagebrush Buttercup
