AND THE VULTURE FLEW OVER THE MOON!

Today's photos were taken within five kilometres of home.
We had some heavy rain one day and the lilac drooped over the river trail.

The bumblebees were enjoying the lilacs.

Stork's Bills flowers in our strata park field.

I was sitting at the dam waiting for an osprey to fly but I had to settle for this goose instead.

I took this osprey shot later on the way home.

The vulture and the moon.

With that day of heavy rain, Shuttleworth Creek that flows into the Okanagan River at Okanagan Falls was very muddy which ended up in Vaseux Lake.  Shuttleworth Creek flows through several recent forest fires so the ground it very unstable leading to lots of erosion.

Well hello there.

Western Bluebird male.

Female Western bluebird coming to get a closer look at me.

A dumpy looking White-crowned Sparrow.

Same Sparrow that perked up.

Just watching the traffic go by.

Western Kingbird.  They hover in mid-air then catch flies on the wing.

By golly, it's a Magpie tree!
