CRUMP CAMPING WAS GREAT!

We enjoyed our three nights at Crump Forestry Campground.  It was so nice to wake up and hear the bluebirds and meadowlarks singing.  New club members Doug and Ann also from Oliver parked across from us and we did a couple rides together on Friday before the main club ride on Saturday.  We got to know them a little better.  Even though my legs didn’t like standing for long, I was able to take my chair over close to the tree a pair of bluebirds were nesting in and get some nice photos.  I was 40-50 feet away so they weren’t distressed by my presence.

We came home Sunday in time to enjoy a visit from our friend Bev from Penticton and her sister in law Jean from Parksville.  I went to see a physio yesterday and he was concerned about swelling and pain in my left calf and didn’t want to treat it until I had an ultrasound to rule out a blood clot.  So, I grabbed an early lunch and went to emergency in Penticton.  Five plus hours later I finally got released with the good news that there was no clot visible.  That wasn’t quite how I envisioned my afternoon!

We took the motorhome to the sani dump this morning then filled the propane and gas tanks before parking it in the RV compound until we bring it down again next week to ready it for our Thursday departure for Vancouver Island.
