I did my usual morning walk up the river trail yesterday then after Aileen had her after lunch nap we went for a drive to the higher country to check out more winter. We drove up through one of the areas impacted by recent wildfires. There is lots of salvage logging happening trying to recover what value they can before it's too late. Our early winter caught a lot of trees with their leaves on or in the case of the Western Larch, their needles. The yellows and oranges against the snow were striking when the light was right.
