A FEW PHOTOS FROM YESTERDAY.

We went for a walk yesterday morning and I climbed up on the bluff for a better view over the vineyards.  Other than the vineyard photos the rest were taken on the drive to and from.  The Chukars are the first I have photographed in this area although John Randall and I saw some on our ride the other day.  We haven't seen any bighorn sheep for the past couple weeks.  I think they probably went back higher since it had been so warm down here.  I did see a group this afternoon so I guess the snow on the hilltops and the cool mornings yesterday and today have brought them back.

Northern Flicker.

The vineyards are starting to change colour.

Chukar.  Introduced from Asia to the US, their range just barely reaches this far into Canada.

The south end of Vaseux Lake.  We live just beyond McIntyre Bluff on the right.

The Sumac has quickly changed to red.

The mountains got a dusting of snow night before last.

Ribbon of red.

Sumac.

I think these are two different types of Sumac.
