AN EVENING WALK AT RATHTREVOR BEACH PROVINCIAL PARK.

These photos are from our walk Wednesday evening.  We went there again last night and didn't see as many birds, perhaps since it was Friday night and there were a lot more people.  I've been out geocaching with my brother in law John R twice.  We went to the Errington and Qualicum Beach farmers' markets this morning and scored some nice fresh veggies and eggs.

As we were crossing from the mainland to Vancouver Island on the ferry, I noticed what appeared to be a sea monster rising from the ocean.  It turned out to be this tree that washed down one of the rivers and was utilized by the birds.

This seaplane flew low over the ferry.

These two ferries met halfway between their terminals of Horseshoe Bay north of Vancouver and Departure Bay at Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.  There are three separate ferry crossing from the Vancouver area to Vancouver Island.

This was our opposing ferry which we met at the halfway point during our sailing.  Our ferry was one of the newer ones while this one is 49 years old!
