I WENT FOR A WALK ON MEADOWLARK LANE BUT THERE WERE NO MEADOWLARKS.

So I made do with the majestic rocks and lichen covered cliffs.  Then down along the river channel I watched in amazement as a chickadee worked at carving out a nesting spot in a rotten tree.

Taken from our porch, green leaves are coming quickly.

Tumbled rocks.

Lichen.

Lichen.

Lichen.

Lichen.

Lichen.

Osprey gathering material to enlarge its nest.

Black-capped Chickadee entering nest cavity.

Here he comes with a beak full of dead wood to dispose of outside.

Osprey flying by.

The local orchards are starting to bloom.
