WE WENT FOR A DRIVE THIS MORNING, IT WAS LIKE BEING ON SAFARI!

First we drove up the hill above Vaseux Lake and found some bighorn sheep.

The lake makes a nice background, I thought.

From up on the hill we watched some Trumpeter Swans on the other side of the lake.

Then we crossed the river at Okanagan Falls and spotted more swans downstream a bit.  This bald eagle came swooping down among the swans and ducks but came up empty.

We heard a lady tell someone that she had seen 53 swans in the river.  We had seen 36 across the lake so nearly 90 swans in a small area today.

Trumpeter Swans.

Continuing our drive, we spotted this Northern Pygmy-Owl near Mahoney Lake.  He didn't stay very long.

Just above Oliver I spotted this pair of Red-tailed Hawks.
