Last evening on my walk I stood and watched the swallows that were all around my head and right down at the water in their quest for insects. They are so swift and erratic in flight that it's hard for an old guy like me to follow them without trying to do so through the camera lens. However, I gave it a try and here are my results. The first one is a new variety of swallow for me and I doubt I would have realized that if not for the photo I was lucky enough to capture. I will try to include a short video clip that will give you an idea of how quickly the action took place.
Northern Rough-winged Swallow, new one for me.
