I WENT FOR MY LAST ATV RIDE FOR A WHILE AND WE LUCKED OUT WITH WILDLIFE.

Seventeen machines showed up to ride this morning so we split into three groups.  There were just four machines in the group I was with so that gave us more flexibility.  We headed for Box Canyon to see if we could find any bighorn sheep.  On the way, three Javelina blasted across the road in front of us.  I hopped out and hiked out a little way then set myself up on a hill to see if I could spot them.  After a bit two bolted over the next hill so no photos there.  Then finally the third one came out of hiding and made his way across the hillside in front of me and I was able to get several good photos of it.

Once we got into the canyon I managed to spot some sheep so we stopped.  While the others admired the sheep and their antics, Richard J and I got our cameras working at recording the action.   It was a great ride today as there was no dust after the overnight rain.

Nice to see two lambs in the group.

Interesting mist around The Thumb today.

Red-tailed Hawk.
