IT WAS A GORGEOUS SUNDAY SO WE COULDN'T STAY HOME!

Not wanting to stay home in such nice weather, we went for a drive around the block.  Over to Keremeos, Cawston then Osoyoos and back to Oliver.  With the varying elevations, we were in heavy snow or no snow.  Our snow has disappeared except where it was piled up.

Today has been a very dreary and dull day with rain beginning this afternoon.  The forecast calls for changing to snow soon but last night's forecast snow didn't happen so who knows what we will wake up to tomorrow.

Willowbrook Road near White Lake.  All that shiny stuff on the road is black ice.  It was very slippery!

LAST HURRAH FOR THIS SNOW!

 I took these photos yesterday and the day before.  Last night and today we have major wind and +5C (42F) nd the snow is melting rapidly.  Our forecast is predicting much colder weather for the next ten days with lots of possible snow.  I imagine we will be white again soon.  The ground is bare mostly down low here in the park.  I walked over to the motorhome this morning and the solar panel are bare and charging which is good.

These last two are what I call Flag Cliff since someone installed a flag at the top.  This is to our east and visible from our deck.

WHAT I SAW ON MY SHORT WALK THE OTHER DAY

 I didn't get more than five hundred yards from home as the crow flies, but it was a good walk.

These two planes were flying way above me at the same time.  The top one was to the south and the other was to the north so one was taken into the sun and the other was illuminated by the sun.  No idea where they were from or where they were going.

CONTINUING OUR WINTER COVERAGE

That is a Great Horned Owl that I spotted one evening on our walk along the river.  Aileen is holding the flashlight on the owl as I use my phone to capture the photo.  Those are snowflakes not star trails.  It would have been a great shot if I had my big camera and 100-400 zoom lens as I could have filled the frame but that camera and lens are too heavy to pack on a regular basis when there is a very low chance of using it.

After I shovelled our driveway and along in front of our lot before the plough truck came by.  Close to a foot deep.

WINTER ASSERTED ITSELF

 We awoke to major snow (for us) and it continued for quite some time.  I measured 9 1/2 inches at one point.  At least this snowfall was light and fluffy so not heavy to move like the last one.  It was still heavy slogging walking up the trail which we both did at different times.
