WE EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN TEMPERATURE DROP.

That opened up some new opportunities for photography.

We got to see a Canyon Wren yesterday.

Canyon Wren.

This image was taken at the equivalent of 160 mm which is considerably more than normal eyesight.  Can you see what I'm looking at way up there?

Taken at the equivalent of 640 mm then zoomed way in.

The rest of today's photos were taken down at the creek across the street from our house.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS NEAR AND FAR!

I took my camera for a ride this afternoon.  I thought I might get some snow scenes but as high as I drove the snow wasn't cooperating.  There was slush on the road but no snow sticking to the trees.  Oh well, I did find some feathered friends to share with you.

The eagle was hoping he was invisible but I still spotted him.

That's down on his beak from preening like in the next photo.

Busy preening.

I GOT TO PLAY WITH ANOTHER EAGLE AND A HAWK THIS AFTERNOON.

I took a drive south of Oliver to an area where I have seen hawks and eagles before and they welcomed my visit this afternoon.  Well, the hawk not so much but the eagle was quite patient with me.
