AND THE HILLS WERE WREATHED IN GOLDEN HUES

Our friends Jerry and Donna had alerted me to the fact that there was a good showing of poppies north of us so yesterday we trailered our ATV up that way to go look.   Our friends Richard and Judy joined us with their ATV and there was a definite WOW factor on the hills.  There were a lot of the usual weekend crazies that we had to watch out for as it is quite close to the Greater Phoenix area.
Our time is winding down and this is when you realize all the things you wanted to do haven’t been done and the pace picks up.  The flowers are slowly blooming but not as fast as I expected given the amount of rainfall we’ve had.  They are currently forecasting rain for Tuesday to Friday this week.  We’ll see if that actually happens.
There has been a flurry of selling in both Caliente and Florence Gardens this year and the prices have gone up accordingly.  Two of our close neighbours sold and they sold fast.  Places are selling by word of mouth before even being listed.

We were surprised to see the waterfall so included it with the poppy covered hill in the background

Along the road

The poppies were on the distant hills, the road goes though the foreground notch.

  2. Beautiful scenery pictures with lots of poppies.
Those neighbours could be selling ahead of the Corona outbreak worried the prices would drop.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.
